How can I use the photos?

My packages are built to be simple, and include shooting, editing, and final photos at both full size (for print), and web quality (For email, facebook, social media and web). Neither version is watermarked and I am happy for you to print, share, post, and use the photos as you please within reason. I do ask that I am able to use photos to showcase, use in my folio and for my own self promotion, however if this is a problem just let me know.

Will you travel for my wedding?

Absolutely! I love destination weddings, and whether your wedding is local, interstate, or international , I am more than happy to arrange something with you to accommodate. I will try my best to minimise the extra costs, because if you want me there then I really want to be there as well.

Best tips for a great wedding experience?

1 ) Talk to the photographer : Whether through an engagement shoot, facebook messages, texts, emails, skype, or even just over coffee; finding out a little information about who you are, what you like, and what is important to you directly influences both the way I shoot and edit. It also can help you to feel comfortable on the day; resulting in natural photos that are personal, relaxed, and reflect you as a couple well.

2 ) Group photos : Why not give a bossy aunt or someone loud the job of organizing people for group photos; this saves so much time on the day, especially when there are multiple big family groups to get through, just give them the list and license to do whatever it takes to make those groups happen.

3 )
Table shots : I love to get a photo of the couple with each table at the reception, this is a great chance to mingle and say hello to your guests, as well as end up with a photo with every single person at your wedding.

4 )
If there is something unexpected planned: Please let me know what to expect before it happens, this can help me to prepare. These unique and quirky moments add so much on the day, so please let me know in advance so that I can get a great shot when it happens!

5 ) Don't be afraid to have ideas : I am always happy to take silly or funny photos and try out new ideas; I will do my best to make them work, and we might get a great image which is really unique to you!

6 ) Be ready for time to disappear quickly : It is very important to get those really special shots you want before the reception is being packed up and the guests have gone home. Time can fly by so quickly! If I feel that we are going to miss out on something important I will let you know .

6 ) Have fun : You don't have to look at the camera all the time, just enjoy yourself, have a great time, and get caught up in the excitement of the day!

How soon can I expect my photos?

Short Events : A quick turnaround is priority when it comes to event photography; my turnaround time for edited photos is generally between 1-3 days depending on what is involved.

4+ hour events : I usually aim to deliver the photos within either 3 - 7 days, depending on whether turnaround is a priority for my client.

Engagement sessions: I usually take between 2 - 4 weeks to edit engagement sessions.

Weddings :
Full day weddings are currently estimated to take between 3 - 6 weeks to edit (1000+ photos)

In the event photos will take longer than anticipated, I will make sure to let you know in advance.

I lost all my photos! Do you have a backup?

I generally try to keep backups of all my work, and will be happy to get another copy to you soon if possible. Storage is so cheap these days that really there is no reason to not back things up! I do highly recommend making your own backup as well, not just of the photos, but your entire computer.

Isn't photography just about the camera?

No, not at all ; A good photographer needs to be a people person, solve problems, constanlty generate ideas and concepts on the fly, communicate effectively, direct people, make people comfortable and bring out the best in them, as well as be highly adaptable and able to think on their feet. They must evaluate light and locations, and make the most of bad conditions while still producing professional results! . Then there is the camera, editing abilities and knowing their gear inside out as well!

Unplugged Weddings?

Unplugged weddings are fantastic if that is what you want. Some people choose to have an unplugged wedding as they want to see their guests smiling faces, and feel it means everyone can participate, enjoy and join in the celebration rather than just seeing it from behind a phone or camera. If you choose to have an unplugged wedding I will still capture lots of fun candids of your guests and all the details, however this isn't for everyone and I am just as happy when couples go in the complete opposite direction, embracing social media, with something like a #uniqueweddingtag for people to use on their instagram posts. It is up to you, it is your story, choose what you want and I will work around it.

Do you mind if I have other photographers shooting at my wedding?

If you would like to have other photographers shooting (maybe a family member who has started as a hobby, etc). This is fine with me as long as they conduct themselves in a professional manner, and I am paid for my work. Personally I am comfortable working on my own, or with others shooting as well. Usually in cases like this I will direct couples and groups where to look so that you are all looking at the same camera.

Do you offer Studio sessions?

If you are after that studio look I do now offer sessions; whether it is headshots, family photos, products, or even capturing your child before their first haircut. Studio and lighting hire is an additional $50/h, or $100 for 4 hour hire.
